Rocky Raccoon got so big a few years ago we ended up splitting the 50mile and 50km distances onto the following weekend. We also have a half marathon now! So now Rocky 50 is a stand alone event. If you want to run your first ultra, or you want to run a really fast and scenic trail race, this is your course.
This race has it all and is right in Austin’s backyard. With over six miles of real trails surrounded by woods and streams, you will forget you are in the heart of one of the largest cities in Texas. The course features single tracks, rolling hills, fast downhills, and the Tejas Trails spirit. There’s nothing boring about it.
If you haven’t been to Hutto, it’s time! Welcome to the home of the hippos. We have partnered with the Hippo Social Club and Patriot Sports & Fitness to bring to you the Hippo Trail Fest! They are welcoming us into their fitness and well-being facility, at the edge of their beautiful, wooded, rolling trail system in their backyard. You can expect a lot of extra fun surrounding this trail party! There will be activities, food, drinks, and fun going on around the race hub all morning and afternoon. The Hippo Social Club will also have their amenities open to all racers and spectators, including mobility and stretching resources, cold plunge pools, sauna, along with the rest of the great post-race action.
We will have trail runs of multiple distances, two ruck race distances to choose from, an almost free youth race, and the infamous Hippo Haul (a 5km weight carry foot race).
ROUTE DETAILS:
These trails are soft and flowy, and almost entirely shaded. The trails roll all around little creek beds under the canopy of the forrest. There isn’t a lot of elevation change, but there are some tight turns. It’s a great 6.5 mile loop that will keep seasoned trail runners entertained, while providing a great experience for those new to the trails!

You’ll get the comfort of our world-renowned course markings so you don’t have to worry about getting lost. You’ll get our notorious staff and volunteer support (and probably leave with new friends you met at an aid station or finish line)!
We also typically have a food truck at the finish line serving a lot of various types of foods, including an accommodating menu of most food allergies and vegan options.

Join us at this true trail race in the middle of the beautiful, historic downtown Georgetown (one of America’s fastest growing areas)! Don’t be fooled by this race being in the middle of the city. Thanks to the Georgetown Trails Foundation, we will be running on incredibly well built, scenic, and fun single track dirt trails hugging the banks of the San Gabriel River. 5km, 10 miles, 25km, and 50km distances, along with a Youth 1 Mile. Register before we hit our cap!
Located at one of the coolest adventure destinations in the nation, we will have 4 mi, 10 mi, 21 mi, 42 mi, and 100K races. NEW this year is a 101 mi race and a ruck division! This race offers so much more: kayaking, fishing, basketball, volleyball, zip lining, and a kids’ adventure camp. The perfect Texas spring break adventure!
Get your friends and family, and join in on this close to Austin and San Antonio lake party and trail run! The finish line arch is literally right at the edge of Lake Travis! This means, as the lake rises and falls each year, the distance will possibly slightly change, so we'll add "ish" to each distance...and that's perfect when everything and everyone stays mellow.
The Lake Somerville State Park is unique in that it is actually two parks linked up. The trail that links the two parks is a gorgeous path full of natural habitats and wildlife called The Trailway. This is a fun family-friendly trail race!
Join us for a race in beautiful San Marcos at Purgatory Creek Natural Area, to benefit and support the amazing efforts of the Great Springs Project. This is the race you’ve always wanted in your backyard. With 13.1 miles of trail running bliss. This event will sellout, so register early!
No whiners, wimps, or wusses! Cactus Rose Ultra & Relay Trail Race was designed to test runners over rugged technical terrain. The old-school self-support style of putting out your own gear remains the same. The course cutoff is over 55 hours for all distances, giving any entrant a good chance of accomplishing a new distance P.R. Races: 5 mi, 25 mi, 50 mi, 100 mi, 150 mi, 4x25 mi relay, 25 mi ruck, youth 1 mi, Hill Country State Natural Area, Bandera, TX
Wild Hare has become one of the most fun trail races of all Tejas Trails events. With the safety and beauty of a privately owned Texas ranch and adventure park, and multiple fun loops, new runners get a feel for trail running, and experienced runners get an opportunity to try new strategies, fueling, diet, etc., as well as hammer out a fast and fun race. Always a good turnout, lovely weather, an entertaining course, and hundreds of people hanging out all day and night... this is a fantastic trail race weekend with a bunch of good memories waiting to be made.
All of us are like pieces of a mosaic. We're all different sizes, shapes, colors, styles, ages...But when we join together for a common goal, we create a beautiful picture together, a mosaic of fun if you will!
So we created this trail running weekend right here in the outskirts of Austin.
No whiners, wimps, or wusses. A trail of rugged and brutal beauty where everything cuts, stings or bites. 100km is a standalone race on Saturday. Still with a 24-26 cutoff (depending on your Start Window). 50km and 25km will start Sunday morning, and end Sunday night at latest.
Join us for some giving back to Huntsville State Park. Home of our beloved Rocky Raccoon 100 and Rocky 50, we are excited to get out and fix up the trails we used for our races, and help the park with some bigger trail improvement and re-route projects. Bring your friends! Between all that trail work, we’ll do some relaxing, trail running, hiking, and mountain biking.
Get your friends and family, and join in on this chance to give back to the trails we love. The Indian Mound Ranch is the location for our Mosaic Trail Run. We get access to this private ranch, but otherwise it doesn’t get a lot of traffic. The trails are overgrown and we get to make some new trails. Join us for the fun and reward of working on trails together.

Every year, we make multiple trips to give back to various trail systems we use for events and where we simply enjoy running and cycling. On some trips, we’ll be creating new trails. Others we’ll be trimming back existing trails. On some meet-ups we will be primarily plogging (running while picking up trash). All of these events are a blast every time! We will work hard, play hard, do some running and course previews for upcoming races, thank the local trail stewards, and generally eat, drink and be merry! We hope everyone takes part in some giving back every once in a while. It makes the world around us much better!
